William T. Mayweather III is a proven Business Development Executive with demonstrated expertise in intellectual property (IP) licensing, market strategy, product development, and business negotiations. He has successfully and repeatedly led efforts, initiatives and people to profitably penetrate new markets and/or introduce novel products. William combines exceptional people skills, strong technical ability and business acumen to identify and deliver maximum value to sellers and buyers in technology intensive product transactions. His expertise was developed and refined through twenty years of working with multiple Fortune 500 firms.
During his career at Sarnoff Corporation (formerly RCA Laboratories) he developed Sarnoff’s Silicon Intellectual Property business, directed Sarnoff’s Applied Optics business and expanded Sarnoff’s Government Mil-qualified IC business. He recruited and retained key technical, managerial and business talent and partnered cross culturally with firms in India, Japan, Germany, Belgium, France and Korea. William has assembled multi-site, multi-national teams of engineers and researchers.
He holds three U.S. Patents and is the author or co-author of five technical publications. His work earned multiple corporate recognition awards. He has been recognized by the engineering honor society Eta Kappa Nu .
William Mayweather holds BSEE and MSEE degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a MBA from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.
